DIVISION PROFILE

The Support Services departments at BakerRipley work in partnership with all divisions to maintain, operate, and deliver services that help keep our region a place of opportunity for all.

JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB SUMMARY:

Maintains websites and applications using advanced programming languages as part of a team and/or individually to support business initiatives as directed by IT management. Handles business related content changes for websites both internally and externally. Deploys applications and completes regular testing practices for deployment as well as develops testing related documentation. Trains users on application usage. Troubleshoots issues, manages Application Support requests, and communicates with users. Manages all changes and requests for document management system.

CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Works independently to manage all tasks assigns and reports status on tasks daily
  • Receives support requests and responds to users in a courteous, clear and timely manner
  • Assumes ownership of issues and troubleshoots, debugs, and resolves programming, performance, feature/functional issues as identified by end users
  • Programs, contributes and/or maintains back-end development of FoxPro applications, dynamic websites, and custom off the shelf (COTS) solutions applying programming concepts/patterns
  • Builds, enhances and maintains in-house websites, databases, web applications as well as third-party applications/systems/tools as assigned
  • Generates and maintains custom, ad-hoc reports as requested by various business units/programs
  • Develops, produces, and maintains application and web site documentation related to project requirements, design specifications, end-user manuals and technical diagrams
  • Seeks assistance and/or collaborates with Director of Web and Application Development as needed on varying technical topics
  • Conducts iterative testing for each stage of deployment
  • Conducts end user acceptance testing at QA stage and provides technical support after released
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS

MINIMUM EDUCATION:

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university;

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:

1  years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

SKILLS:

  • Adheres to coding standards defined by technical management
  • Establishes responsible deadlines and personal work plans
  • Builds, enhances, and maintains in-house web sites, databases, web applications as well as third-party applications/systems/tools as assigned

  • Sets high standards of performance for oneself Technical Skills (Essential):
  • Object-Oriented Programming using C#/ VB.NET
  • Proficiencies in ASP.NET and standard Integrated Development Environments (IDE) such as Visual Studio
  • Team Foundation Server 2013
  • N-Tier application design
  • Web user controls, master pages, .NET caching techniques, custom controls
  • IIS 6/7.5, Windows Server 2003/2008/2012
  • Knowledge of client-side programming using XHTML, CSS, jQuery, and JavaScript
