Job Description

The Public Sector Solutions departments specialize in transferring our nonprofit experience and skills into the design and implementation of effective human services programs for other organizations and government entities.

JOB SUMMARY:

Provides specific guidance and support to the case management and outreach staff; conducts weekly caseload meetings; oversees all case enrollments and closures; ensures program participants’ service plans contain specific goals for housing stability and are based on the veteran's needs assessment. Assists case management & outreach teams in the upkeep of viable housing resources making the best and most appropriate connections to housing, training and employment for program participants. Oversees all aspects of data entry into HMIS (Homeless Management Information System) and generates regular case management reports.

CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Supervises and assists staff in the process of eligibility, enrollment, provision of financial assistance and provision of wrap-around services.
  2. Oversees all case management processes such as housing, completion of client surveys and case closures for all program participants.
  3. Leads the case staffing process in support of staff to ensure service delivery is in accordance with all program guidelines.
  4. Ensures all staff document information preserving client's confidentiality keeping tracking logs accurate.
  5. Generates qualitative and quantitative data reports and ensures that assignments and projects are completed on time.
  6. Collaborates with the VA system and other agencies to provide a comprehensive set of services that enable veterans to become and remain housed.
  7. Performs other duties as may be assigned.

Job Requirements

MINIMUM EDUCATION:

Bachelor's degree from four-year College or university or equivalent combination of education and experience. Education or experience in Social Work, Psychology, Education, Sociology or related field is preferred.

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:

  • Education or experience in Social Work, Psychology, Education, Sociology or related field is preferred.
  • Experience supervising staff in a case management environment preferred.

SKILLS:

  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to develop Excel spreadsheets using formulas.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions both orally and in writing in a manner that is understandable to others.
  • Ability to write clear and accurate correspondence and reports.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and successful experience working in teams.

COMPUTER PROFICIENCY:

Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS:

English written and verbal
