Job Description

BakerRipley provides an integrated holistic education system for families and their children ages six months through eighth grade. The Choices in Education division oversees the early childhood education programs and the BakerRipley Schools, including three community-based elementary schools, one middle school, and a “New Neighbor” school for refugee children – all of which reside within our community centers. Our holistic approach to educating the entire family allows us to create a stronger and more positive impact in the community. Both children and their parents gain access to education and broader community resources to prepare them for a successful degree and/or career. 
 
JOB SUMMARY:

Monitors and overseas all EHS/HS/ECDC/Charter School Without Walls (CSWW) (spell out abbreviations) Centers and is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and supervision for all centers.
 
CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensures that all center relationships are established and operating in compliance with Federal, State and local laws, regulations and standards including Agency Policies and other contractual agreements.
  • Ensures the Center staff implements and integrates policies, procedures and standards.
  • Reviews and evaluates program activities to ensure conformance to local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Prepares and submits all required and necessary reports in a timely manner.
  • Ensures that all children’s files are complete, accurate and up-to-date with all the information required by the Head Start Performance Standards and TEA regulations.
  • Facilitates on-going, thorough and clear understanding of Head Start program and Performance Standards in addition to TEA / NCLB regulations and guidance to all Center Managers.
  • Develop yearly program calendar maintain a calendar of all center activities.
  • Develop Campus Improvement Plan supportive of Community Needs Assessment.
  • Establish and monitor systems that ensure program quality.
  • Work directly with Center Managers to ensure adequate staffing in all sites and adhere to BakerRipley and Head Start approved personnel procedures for supervising, hiring and termination of staff.
  • Work directly with center managers to ensure an annual inventory of equipment and materials is maintained.
  • Monitor the performance, attendance, certifications, required documents and timesheets of the center managers.
  • Other duties may be assigned at the direction of management.

 

Job Requirements

MINIMUM EDUCATION:

Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Education, Early Childhood Education, Educational Administration, Business Administration, or Management from an accredited college or university.

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:

Minimum 3-5years of progressive management and supervisory experience in a child care, Head Start, or school setting.

SKILLS:

  • Multi-site management experience highly desirable.
  • Hold a valid Texas Driver’s License with appropriate insurance coverage.


COMPUTER PROFICIENCY:

Intermediate skill in Word, Excel, Power Point.

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS:

Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required.
