Job Description

BakerRipley provides an integrated holistic education system for families and their children ages six months through eighth grade. The Choices in Education division oversees the early childhood education programs and the BakerRipley Schools, including three community-based elementary schools, one middle school, and a “New Neighbor” school for refugee children – all of which reside within our community centers. Our holistic approach to educating the entire family allows us to create a stronger and more positive impact in the community.  Both children and their parents gain access to education and broader community resources to prepare them for a successful degree and/or career.

JOB SUMMARY: 

The Senior Manager of Compliance and Accountability provides direction in meeting local, state, and federal guidelines to ensure effective operation in all areas of Choices in Education compliance.

CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ability to communicate effectively in both written and oral forms with all levels of management, both internal and external to the agency
  • Ensures all local, state and federal funding applications and compliance reports are completed accurately and in accordance with established timelines
  • Compile, maintain, and file all physical and computerized reports, records, and other documents as required by the Texas Education Agency
  • Supports the District Director of Curriculum and District PEIMS Coordinator in maintaining quality student achievement data to support successful achievement of district or campus instructional goals or state/federal performance standards
  • Conducts reviews and evaluations of program data to ensure conformance to local, state and federal regulations
  • Provide guidance and support compliance with ESL / Bilingual regulations in addition to LPAC regulations and procedures
  • Develops and submits charter school amendments as necessary or requested by the Superintendent
  • Coordinates the annual review and development of District and Campus Improvement plans inclusive of Parent Involvement Policies and Parent Compacts
  • Annually directs the review and approval of all district board policies, manuals and procedural guides inclusive of but not limited to the District Parent Handbook and Student Code of Conduct
  • Creates reports and presentations for the BakerRipley Board or other audiences as requested by the Superintendent
  • Effective problem solving skills are required
  • Additional duties may be assigned at the discretion of the immediate supervisor

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS

Minimum of a Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Education or related field

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:

Three years exemplary teaching experience or comparable leadership experience at a tested grade level

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

Mid-Management or Administrator’s Certificate or the ability to acquire it

Maintain or be able to successfully secure all the required certificates, licenses and professional development as required of the position

COMPUTER PROFICIENCY:

Proficient with Microsoft Office applications

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS:

Bilingual English/Spanish desirable

SKILLS:

  • Strong computer skills and ability to work with databases
  • Ability to work with statistical analysis
  • Familiarity with statewide testing program rules and regulations
  • Has the ability to visit various program sites throughout the city
  • May attend overnight / out of town professional development on a periodic basis
