Job Description

Public Sector Solutions, a division of BakerRipley manages childcare subsidies in support of working parents throughout 60 counties in Texas, provides long-term recovery services for people affected by disasters, manages utility assistance for low-income individuals, and manages Workforce Solutions career offices across the region. Programs in this division are funded by public contracts and our reputation as an efficient and reliable steward of our tax dollars has seen this division grow over the years. 
 
  
JOB SUMMARY:

Leads and manages projects for the various Public Sector Solutions (PSS) contracts to develop new efficiencies and innovations in service delivery methods, or implement policies and procedures. Implements and evaluates the effectiveness of services delivery methods and policies and procedures. Ensures that timely and accurate reports are provided to workforce boards as well as to NCI Management. Assists the Senior Director of PSS in providing management support to the director of each region as requested.

CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coaches individuals on projects to achieve goals and become proficient
  • Makes sound decisions based on all available information
  • Actively encourages staff to identify and develop new ways to do business as well as address and solve current problems with business functions
  • Establishes, leads and manages project teams to develop and implement new business practices or to develop and implement technology solutions to streamlining current business functions
  • Establishes budget management procedures for projects and ensure that procedures are understood and followed by project members
  • Ensures that projects adhere to BakerRipley and workforce board policies and procedures as well as contractual obligations
  • Develop strong working relationship with board contract managers and other key board staff. Attend Board meetings as required by the Senior Director
  • Performs other duties as may be assigned

 

Job Requirements

MINIMUM EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university or equivalent combination of education and experience

SKILLS:

  • Strong management and leadership skills
  • Ability to understand and interpret a variety of policies and procedures
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Ability to present complex process, business management, and financial information to others
  • Able to think critically, analyze information, identify trends and develop strategic courses of action


COMPUTER PROFICIENCY:

Proficient in Microsoft Office, basic understanding of data and automation systems
