JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB SUMMARY:

As a member of the Program Planning & Evaluation team, you will join an incredibly talented and hardworking support department dedicated to researching, designing, and evaluating projects to prove and improve BakerRipley’s impact in four strategic areas: earn, learn, belong, and be well.

The Program Design Coordinator will coordinate BakerRipley’s Learning Cycle process – convening program and support staff in an annual review of each program to: 1) develop a shared understanding of current program implementation, including highlights, challenges, and scale versus design, 2) compare current progress with established goals and targets, and 3) provide current and historical data to improve and problem solve. Through this reflective and data-driven learning process, teams are able to make strategic changes to program design, drive and develop implementation phasing and program direction, and plan for the future.

The Program Design Coordinator will be responsible for the project management of these Learning Cycles – managing timelines, collecting feedback from all stakeholders, gathering supporting data from evaluation and resource development leads, facilitating group brainstorming and decision-making sessions, updating program plans, summarizing key decisions and action steps, and working closely with program teams to support successful implementation. This work will be supported by the Program Design & Research Manager and members of our Evaluation & Resource Development teams.

This new role will also support other planning efforts within the Program Planning & Evaluation team, such as facilitating program design sessions for new and existing programs, conducting best practice research, engaging in cross-departmental collaborations to increase efficiency and maximize impact across the agency, and engaging in qualitative data collection and reporting through the agency’s Appreciative Community Building efforts.

We are seeking a team member with strong project coordination skills, an attention to detail, strong written and verbal communication skills, and the organizational skills to develop into a strong project manager.

CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinate project teams related to planning, working collaboratively with program and support staff to inform improvements to program design and next steps for program implementation
  • Solicit and summarize program-level feedback from key stakeholders including staff, leadership, partners, and program participants
  • Perform research that informs best practices for existing and proposed programs
  • Make data-driven recommendations for updates to program design and implementation based on current research and continued applicability to program participants
  • Prepare reports that summarize key decisions, rationale, and action steps that result from collaborative Learning Cycle efforts
  • Work closely with program teams and leaders to support the transition from design to implementation
  • Designs program models and theories of change using best/promising practices, evaluation results, research findings, funding availability, client aspirations, and agency priorities
  • Contributes to knowledge building by disseminating work across a range of platforms and audiences
  • Synthesize research for various agency projects
  • Identify and participate in professional development opportunities that will enhance knowledge and the quality of PP&E services
  • Other duties as assigned
