We provide a continuum of services including free tax preparation, family health and education, immigration and citizenship services, financial assistance and programs for youth and seniors.

JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB SUMMARY:

The Manager of Program Innovation and Development serves as a liaison between Program Planning and Evaluation (PP&E) and Community Based Initiatives (CBI) to ensure that program design for the division is in accordance with the division and agency’s mission and strategic goals, current research theory, and best practices in the field. This position is also responsible for conducting qualitative analysis of our programs and providing timely and critical feedback to CBI and PP&E regarding the effectiveness and success of program implementation.

CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assists PP&E in the development of program plans for expansion and improvement of programs that include but not limited to marketing strategies, targeted audiences, implementations strategies, etc.
  • Creates implementation plans and task lists designed to provide step by step process of implementing new and existing programming
  • Leads the Continuous Quality Improvement process for the division and conducts quarterly CQI program meetings
  • Works directly with CBI staff to review results from program implementation; gather recommendations for improvements and/or replacement
  • Provides PP&E feedback on regular basis on any implementation challenges or new opportunities that arise throughout the year
  • Works with CBI leadership to establish sound working relationships with internal partners to enhance the capacity, recognition, and visibility of our programs
  • Develops curriculum and assists in the development of program evaluation (outcomes and measures)
  • Creates presentations, guides, white papers and support documents that will engage and motivate staff, board members, and potential funders
  • Serves as a storyteller for the division, responsible for producing quarterly newsletters, blogs, and success stories
  • Works closely with program staff to understand program activities to a fairly detailed degree
  • Provides ongoing orientation and training to CBI staff on program design and plans
  • Market research of programs in neighborhoods that help guide marketing strategies, audiences and implementation
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS MINIMUM EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field required
  • Master’s degree preferred.

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 6 years of related experience required

SKILLS:

  • Excellent communication skills, oral and written
  • Knowledge of community development research and literature
  • Engaging and effective public speaker willing to present to large and small audiences
  • Curriculum development and facilitation
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Understands and respects the diversity of families’ economic and cultural backgrounds and situations

COMPUTER PROFICIENCY:

  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Fluent English, written and oral
