Public Sector Solutions, a division of BakerRipley manages childcare subsidies in support of working parents throughout 60 counties in Texas, provides long-term recovery services for people affected by disasters, manages utility assistance for low-income individuals, and manages Workforce Solutions career offices across the region.  Programs in this division are funded by public contracts and our reputation as an efficient and reliable steward of our tax dollars has seen this division grow over the years.


The Inventory Control Specialist ensures that the inventory in each Workforce Solution (WFS) Career Office is accounted for and is able to report any discrepancies to the Supervisor/Management team in a timely manner.


  • Compiles and maintains accurate records of quantity, type, and location of inventory kept in each WFS career office
  • Facilitate inventory inspections with each WFS career office
  • Compares inventories to office records and updates inventory locations
  • Verifies clerical computations against physical count of inventory and make the necessary adjustments and/or investigates and reports reasons for discrepancies
  • Generates daily, weekly, and/or monthly reports for Supervisors/Management
  • Follows all company policies and procedures to ensure that information and data are protected at all times
  • Provide ideas/insights to refine established procedures to improve inventory accuracy and efficiencies
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Job Requirements


High school diploma/GED equivalent or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required

Associate’s degree or higher preferred


3+ years of related experience and/or training


This position requires some travel. Qualified candidates must have valid driver's license, proof of auto insurance and reliable transportation


Intermediate in Microsoft Windows and Office; familiar with and able to use computers; able to learn new software
