The supportive services departments work with the organization’s divisions to provide BakerRipley, the support to continue building neighborhoods that work.

Come join a Human Resources team that is dedicated to attracting, retaining and developing over 1300 staff members in 60+ locations in and around Houston. The Learning and Development Specialist Contract Instructional Designer will develop specific training courses for employees of BakerRipley. 

CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Curriculum Development and Delivery

  • Create internal eLearning content, training material and quick reference guides, through technology such as Articulate 360
  • Effectively manage eLearning projects with strict deadlines
  • Responsible for managing project schedules and communicating progress with team members throughout the development lifecycle
  • Develop eLearning training for training topics such as Performance Management, Data Privacy and Security, and Manager Training
  • Build eLearning evaluation for all learning projects created

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS

MINIMUM EDUCATION:

Bachelors’ degree in related discipline preferably HR or business, from an accredited institution of higher education; Masters in Human Resource Development strongly preferred

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:

At least 5 years of experience directly related to instructional design

COMPUTER PROFICIENCY:

Microsoft Suite, Abode, Articulate, Camtasia

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS:

English written & verbal

SKILLS:        

  • Strong knowledge in creating and developing eLearning materials with Articulate, Articulate 360, or similar eLearning authoring tool
  • Strong graphic design abilities
  • Ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community/work enviorment
  • Uphold confidentality and discretion with all senstive matters
  • Apply creative persepectives to problem-solving
  • Successfully project management mindset
