The Support Services departments at BakerRipley work in partnership with all divisions to maintain, operate, and deliver services that help keep our region a place of opportunity for all.

JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB SUMMARY:

The HVAC Maintenance Technician Identifies, troubleshoots, repairs, and documents completion of HVAC problems at BakerRipley facilities to maintain a safe and comfortable working environment for building occupants.

CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responds to all facility issues and emergencies and assist as necessary
  • Develops and maintains an aggressive preventive maintenance program for all HVAC Distribution systems and equipment
  • Follows specific verbal and written commands to complete special projects as assigned and directed by management
  • Assists Management with planning and coordinating major HVAC and Electrical system repairs.
  • Ensures all A/C PMs are up to date
  • Understands and assists with the implementation of a systems approach in the provision of services delivered by the Facilities Management Department
  • Ensures A/C and Heating are working properly in all Facilities
  • Responds to and documents through the work order system
  • Maintains refrigerant inventory
  • Other duties may be assigned at the discretion of management

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS

MINIMUM EDUCATION:

  • One year certificate from college or technical school; or equivalent combination of education and experience

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:

  • 2 – 5 years related experience and/or training

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

  • Valid Texas driver’s license, HVAC Maintenance License, EPA Certification within 2 years of employment and 2nd Grade Stationary Engineers License

SKILLS:

  • Computer proficient
  • Beginner proficiency in Microsoft word
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Problem solving skills
  • Detailed knowledge of maintenance tools and equipment
  • Good customer service skills

COMPUTER PROFICIENCY:

  • Microsoft Word
