JOB DESCRIPTION

CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Administer Pearson Vue computer-based examination for state testing companies to include GED and non-GED exams
  • Conducts GED exams in accordance with policies and procedures of the GED Testing Services policies and procedures manual including any supplemental memorandums form the GED Testing provider Pearson Vue
  • Conducts and monitors testing sessions in compliance with policies and procedures for administering tests under normal conditions; verifies the identity and eligibility of each GED candidate; provides accommodations for candidate’s with disabilities
  • Maintains the security of all GED information
  • Assists with registering eligible examines for the GED testing and ensures that examines meet the eligibility requirement mandated by the Texas Education Agency and the GED Testing Services; provides orientation information to new students in relation to test procedures
  • Conducts evaluation of Computers and server to make sure they are up and running; maintains inventory documentation in a designated permanent secure storage area
  • Maintains testing surveillance logs, seating charts, testing irregularity reports and other documentation as required
  • Provides information about BakerRipley GED Testing Centers to civic groups, adult educators and other GED Providers
  • Attend GED and other essential training sessions as assigned

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS MINIMUM EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or related degree

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:

  • years’ experience in teaching, training, counseling or testing

SKILLS:

  • Knowledge of computer-based training/testing
  • Ability to work with colleagues within the organization with external agencies
  • Highly organized and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of adult education/basic skills program
  • Supervisory skills
  • Ability to visit other GED Services Agency’s to recruit students to one of our testing centers

COMPUTER PROFICIENCY:

  • Microsoft Suite, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Email and use of database programs

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS:

  • English written and verbal preferred
  • Spanish written and verbal
