Job Description


The Support Services departments at BakerRipley work in partnership with all divisions to maintain, operate and deliver services that help keep our region a place of opportunity for all.



The Executive Assistant will serve as point person for the Executive Vice President, with primary responsibility for all aspects of supporting the team. This will include the handling of all scheduling, travel logistics, meeting preparation, and meeting follow up. In addition, the Executive Assistant will be responsible for managing a substantial portion of the inbound and outbound communication, often serving as a key liaison for communication with internal staff and external constituents. The position will involve significant interaction with Leadership Management Team.


  • Under the VP's direction the Executive Assistant works independently to provide administrative support as well as specialized planning organizing scheduling and tracking of duties
  • Represents the VP to both external and internal contacts and works collaboratively with all contacts to assist in accomplishing goals
  • Able to deal with confidential and sensitive matters and requires exceptional interpersonal and communication skills for negotiating and arbitrating employee patient and public matters
  • Provides administrative support to VP to ensure effective and efficient operations relieving them of routine matters through appropriate independent action
  • Conducts business functions competently in the absence of the VP
  • Provides back-up support to all other administrative staff in the development office

Job Requirements



  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience interacting with Executive level staff preferred


  • 5 years of related experience and/or training


  • Can handle confidential matters and build trust with the leadership team
  • Has an understanding and motivation for the importance of managing multiple competing priorities
  • Poise and calm under pressure, and the ability to integrate seamlessly in communication flows are all paramount
  • Ability to solve both common and unusual problems. Employee is consulted for clarification of policies only where needed
  • Ability to make executive and independent business and financial decisions
  • Requires in-depth analysis to interpret and evaluate obscure/vague information in the development of new solutions for complex technical and/or managerial problems. Exercises discretion and independent judgment in comparing and recommending numerous solutions.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and coordinate and communicate responses for projects on a daily basis
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong customer service, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to write reports, meeting minutes, and business correspondence
