Job Description

As a member of the Adult Education Division, you will join an incredibly talented and hardworking Adult Education department dedicated to engaging and connecting adult students to their educational goals and personal aspirations to advance BakerRipley’s impact in the Houston region.
Reporting to the Director of Learning & Workforce Initiatives the AmeriCorps VISTA Community Engagement is responsible for developing and implementing an engagement plan that will increase community engagement and strengthen communication strategies to deliver impactful messages.

• Develop best practices for staff focused on media, preparation, public speaking and how to strengthen writing skills
• Participate in outreach fairs, community coalition meetings, special events with potential partners/supporters
• Stay abreast of advocacy initiatives on national and local levels

• Develop and utilize a proactive marketing strategy to create quality content for social media outlets, presentations, websites, and print materials.

Bilingual Spanish preferred 

*This is volunteer position that will only be compensated stipend when traveling.
