Job Description

The Regional Facilitator directs community-based job search seminars and workshops to help customers get a job, keep a job, or get a better job. She/he facilitates discussion among members of a group in a professional and interesting manner to achieve the objectives of the different seminars and presentations. Under the guidance of the HGAC Regional Facilitator Coordinator, she/he is responsible for the continuous review and improvement of job search materials. She/he provides professional advice to customers who want job search guidance or career advice, including one-on-one assistance with job portfolio items if needed. She/he also informs customers of additional staff-assisted resources available in Workforce Solutions career offices. Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

  • Responsible for training at assigned locations in public and private organizations in the 13 counties served by Workforce Solutions
  • Responsible for creating and making adaptations to lesson plans, curriculum planning, and strategic design of labor market-based lessons for targeted audiences
  • Notifies Regional Facilitator Coordinator immediately of any situation that will impact or prevent his/her arrival at an event or seminar at least 30 minutes prior to scheduled start time.
  • Provides any feedback received from the host organization to the Regional Facilitator Coordinator.
  • Maintains knowledge of current labor market trends and employer hiring practice
  • Reviewing and consistently follows Workforce Solutions Issuances particularly as they relate to preparing customers to enter or upgrade their skills in the workforce. (Example: Job Search Seminar Issuance 09-07)
  • Submits attendance numbers, contact hours, evaluation feedback summaries and any other significant event information (e., flyers used to announce the event) used for trainings and seminars to Regional Facilitator Coordinator within one week of event.
  • Attending bimonthly Regional Facilitator meetings and responding in a timely manner to emails and phone calls
  • Coordinating special project assignments
  • Contributing as a blogger on Workforce Solutions’ Blogforce
  • Other duties as assigned
