The supportive services departments work with the organization’s divisions to provide BakerRipley the support to continue building neighborhoods that work.


This position is a core member of the department developing a Center of Expertise that focuses on attracting, retaining and developing Top Talent at BakerRipley. The primary function of the Talent Acquisition Specialist includes internal and external client management, candidate sourcing, screening and interviewing to ensure the timely hiring of open positions. The individual will collaborate with hiring managers through the talent management process to develop successful recruitment strategies to create candidate profiles as well as proactively identify and build relationships with well qualified candidates. This includes taking initiative through networking, social media and other means to develop relationships ahead of hiring needs.


  • Support the manager in identifying and developing talent acquisition strategies in areas of talent identification, acquisition and development
  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition team and hiring managers to develop recruitment strategies and recommend new approaches for continuous improvement of all recruiting processes
  • Manage full- cycle recruitment process, from sourcing to onboarding to acquire an excess of extraordinary talent
  • Use a variety of methods (cold calls, online databases, social media, employee referrals and career fairs) to source candidates that meet the target profile
  • Participate and attend job fairs and campus recruiting events as a means to obtain a strong pipeline of candidates and to effectively meet hiring needs and objectives
  • Develop and implement a Total Rewards strategy that is innovative, competitive and designed to recognize and reward employee performance
  • Participate in the design, implementation and administration of the performance management system to ensure talent acquisition is on target, training needs are assessed and performance plans are in place
  • Work with HR colleagues to understand succession planning needs and develop pipeline in advance of open requirements
  • Positively market the Agency to potential candidates, communicate career opportunities, growth potential and support company organization and culture
  • Ensure compliance with applicant flow data and other recruitment metrics
  • Promote company culture to ensure that all metrics and performance goals are achieved ethically and with integrity


Job Requirements


Bachelors’ degree preferred


Three to five years of Human Resources, recruiting or staffing experience


Human Resources Certification / PHR or SPHR preferred


  • Experience in the area of recruiting, staffing and placement in multiple disciplines
  • General working knowledge of HR and specific knowledge of recruitment, sourcing and HR policy and procedure
  • Ability to proactively establish recruiting sources, tools and processes required
  • Working knowledge of HR federal, state and local requirements related to staffing
  • Comfortable using technology to enable sourcing and talent acquisition strategies with expertise in selection/assessment skills
  • Ability to effectively operate with high energy and flexibility in a fast-paced, constantly evolving team environment
  • Strong customer service, negotiation and closing skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community
  • Highly proactive and productive, possesses strong initiative, self-organized and self-directed skillset
  • Deeply collaborative with the ability to meet objectives
  • Uphold confidentiality and discretion with all sensitive matters
