Job Description

The Recruiter will recruit, screen and assess potential candidates for the Paths for Texas initiative.  You will be working with Gulf Coast Workforce Board staff and training provider’s point of contact to facilitate online retail training for UI Claimants and perform case management to ensure successful completion of training.


  • Point(s) of contact for the Paths for Texas
  • Cold calling of potential candidates from UI Claimant lists with a retail background to inform of the initiative
  • Conduct an assessment by having an in-depth conversation to see if they are motivated and a fit for the program
  • Sell the importance of upskilling skills while in transition
  • Schedule group or one and one sessions with students (previously candidates) to orient them and cover expectations for the program
  • Maintain weekly contact throughout the training with each student at a pre-scheduled time
  • Perform data entry and case management in Twist for any outreaches performed
  • Ensure the students have the resources to begin and complete the training such as internet, computer, laptop, or tablet
  • Provide encouragement and motivation to the students
  • Other duties as assigned
