Job Description

The PSR works in an office environment and interacts with customers in person. The PSR provides intensive and focused case management by helping customers prepare for employment and becoming self-sufficient. The PSR is organized and prepared, communicates in a professional and courteous manner; and collaborates with team members and management.  The PSR maintains close contact and follows up with the customer to ensure they are retaining their employment and works to help eliminate barriers to employment retention.

  1. Matches customers with appropriate Workforce Solutions job postings and contacts potential employers for the customer
  2. Helps customers to prepare resumes, write letters of introduction, and thank you
  3. Gives advice on how to interview successfully
  4. Helps customer complete on line and other employment applications
  5. Matches customers with volunteer jobs to develop the customers work skills and experience leading to unsubsidized employment
  6. Provides useful regional labor market information to help customers develop career goals Provides information on opportunities, qualifications, and expected pay in various industries
  7. Provides information relating training courses and pre requisites to employment goals
  8. Provides electronic, print and other resources to help customers make career and job search
  9. Connects customers, who may benefit from other career office staff specialists or other community resources, to that specialist or resource
  10. Helps customers relate employment goals to their current skills, experience, abilities, and
  11. Helps customers relate employment goals to

  13. Helps customers understand the time and financial commitment required to meet particular career goals - Guides the customer in choosing whether to make those
  14. Continues to work with a customer until employment goals are
