Job Description

Responsible for providing high quality programming specifically for male figure/fathers whose children are enrolled in the Early Head Start/Head Start programs; establish mutually respectful and culturally informed partnerships with fathers and families; support male figures’ efforts to reach their goals; provide opportunities for meaningful parent engagement through parenting education and family literacy. Coordinate integrated services with rest of Early Head Start/Head Start staff and service areas.Coordinate parenting, life skills and educational/vocational programming, and training for male/father figure.


  1. Maintain a healthy caseload of male/father figure and periodic follow-up.
  2. Develop strengths-based assessments with families that describe their goals, strengths, resources and support networks, as well as necessary services and supports
  3. Ensure male/father figure are highly engaged in all aspect of the EHS/HS program including volunteering, partnership agreement, leadership and advocacy, and family well-being.
  4. Maintain files in program data base system by entering case notes, home visits, referrals, family partnership agreements, and other follow-up
  5. Support male/father figure in crisis situations and support their progress toward self- reliance with the appropriate resources, referrals and interventions.
  6. Works collaboratively with other content areas (Family and Community Engagement, Child Development Services, Family Wellness and Nutrition, Disabilities & Mental Health) to ensure delivery of integrated services.
  7. Collaborate with other community organizations and stay current with initiatives & programs (basic services, education, and workforce) in coordinating services and resources.
  8. Maintain an up to date Parent Involvement Calendar of Events and support all activities related to Program Governance.
  9. Maintain consistent visibility in the local community; organize outreach materials for all programs and participate in         community events and activities. 
  10. Other duties as assigned.
