Job Description

This position requires a skilled driver that has the ability to effectively deploy agency vehicles to designated locations as well as be part of a team that assists with providing services to our staff and clientele. Demonstrate excellence in customer service and public relations to promote a positive image of BakerRipley Services. Performs work in the operation of a vehicle to assure safe transportation of clients to and from various destinations and to assist clients on entry and exit from vehicles as necessary. This is a temporary position until September 2020.


  • Develop deployment plan based on scheduled service location(s). The plan includes suitable route, weather conditions, program service plans, site specific conditions and stocking requested inventory program supplies.
  • Assists passengers in entering and exiting the vehicles, and other courtesies
  • Completes daily transportation log and all other related paperwork
  • Make daily inspection of vehicle and takes appropriate action to keep it clean and in good running condition
  • Support program staff and provide relevant information related to the agency programs, services, and events
  • Drive vehicle to designated site(s), follow set-up procedures to prepare the vehicle and site for program service delivery.
  • Follow all BakerRipley, state and local regulations and safety standards for vehicle operation, parking, and storage
  • Manage power supply to the vehicle – either from direct source and/or generator, ensuring there is adequate and sufficient power for operations.
  • Other duties may be assigned at the discretion of management
  • Must be willing to work between the hours of 8 AM-8 PM and some Saturdays.

Job Requirements


High School diploma or equivalent required


1 - 2 years related experience and/or training


Valid driver's license required; clean driver safety record with no moving violations for the last 7 years CDL Class ‘A’ preferred (Employee must obtain CDL license within 6 months of hire date.)


  • Fundamental knowledge of similar vehicle safety practices, system operations and maintenance
  • Problem solving to address unanticipated conditions that may arise.
  • Strong verbal Communication
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Must be able to work flexible shifts including evening and weekends
