JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB SUMMARY:

    As a member of the Fund Development team the Database Administrator (DBA) will be responsible for establishing data administration/input processes, maintaining agency donor data integrity, data analysis and reporting protocols. Responsibilities include importing and exporting of data, extracting and analyzing data, report writing, data mapping and mining, documenting database changes and ensuring that the database effectively captures donor information and generates accurate financial and analytical reports.


CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage and oversee the Raiser's Edge Database and data integrity within the system 
  • Manage data entry and gift processing workflow, including acknowledgement letters for received gifts and pledge payments
  • Support data entry as necessary for constituents and relationships
  • Ensure that gift acknowledgments are produced within a specified timeline
  • Ensure that donor and finance department records are reconciled
  • Create and maintain standard and custom fundraising reports.  Set up desired reporting templates to allow self-service reporting
  • Building and updating reporting dashboards for development team
  • Manage End of Year tax receipting process
  • Building queries and exports for complex mailing lists and segments such as newsletters, direct mail appeals and event invitations
  • Driving organization-wide process compliance to ensure accuracy of data
  • Developing and delivering targeted training to current and new software users
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS

MINIMUM EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree required

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:

2-3 years of experience preferred

SKILLS:

  • Strong belief in and commitment to the agency’s mission, vision and purpose
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of Raiser’s Edge, or relevant fundraising software, and experience with prospect research tools
  • Outstanding organizational skills and strong attention to detail
  • Strong team player
  • Sensitivity to and able to work with constituents from diverse cultural backgrounds
  • Self-directed and motivated and able to work in a fast paced environment while producing high quality work in a timely manner
  • Exhibit the highest standards of professionalism and performance as evidenced by integrity, initiative, collaborative teamwork, critical thinking, accuracy, consistency, and timeliness


COMPUTER PROFICIENCY:

  • Strong Knowledge of Raiser’s Edge
  • Microsoft Office
