The Support Services departments at BakerRipley work in partnership with all divisions to maintain, operate, and deliver services that help keep our region a place of opportunity for all.


    The Business Systems Analyst II will play a pivotal role in facilitating the design and enhancement of new or existing IT solutions, all with the aim of improving business efficiency and productivity. The ideal candidate will possess a high level of technical expertise and clear insights into current business practices. They will examine existing IT systems and business models; analyze business requirements; facilitate product development and implementation; and test feasible solutions.


  • Communicates effectively with multiple levels of management and with various user groups and stakeholders
  • Serves as a liaison between the business community and the IT organization in order to provide technical solutions that meet user and business needs
  • Analyzes existing systems and business models and understands software development life-cycle
  • Translates client requirements into highly specified project briefs
  • Identify options for potential solutions and assessing them for specific technical and business suitability
  • Conducts requirements analysis and prepare specific proposals for modified or replacement systems
  • Works closely with the development team and a variety of end users to ensure technical compatibility and user satisfaction
  • Supports users on change control and system updates
  • Help Quality Assurance teams to execute test plans and coordinate User Acceptance Testing
  • Constantly seeks out areas of inefficiency and seizes opportunities to document, analyze, and redesign business processes and systems
  • Document various artifacts such as Project Initiation Document (PID), Business Requirements Document (BRD), Functional Requirements Document (FRD), and UAT test cases
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Job Requirements


Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university


At least 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst or Systems Analyst or related role; or equivalent combination of education and experience

3-5years related experience in the Non-profit sector and / or training 


  • Must have strong business analysis skills
  • Excellent organization, communication, project management (multiple simultaneous projects) and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to prepare detailed business requirements for technology support systems to facilitate improved business processes.
  • Experience with large software implementations in heavily used systems.
  • Experience with a large, functionally diverse, and informed user base that demands high quality applications
  • Data analysis and data stewardship (exception reporting, management of staging environment for reporting, development and administration of best practices in data collection and management)
  • Technical representation (liaison as the voice of IT in a variety of projects, light PM work)
  • BA/PM training for technical staff
  • Technical training for non-technical staff
  • Tier 3 help desk support
  • Proficient in analyzing and translating business requirements to functional as well as technical requirements and architecture.
  • Proficient in SQL and web-based technologies
