Job Description


  • Manages a portfolio of small to medium-sized foundation/corporate grant submissions annually, meeting annual targets with regard to number of submissions and total amount requested.
  • Manages entire grant calendar of private funding requests, including foundation report submissions.
  • Creates fund development plans for agency priorities - initiatives and divisional --in line with annual targets.


  • Leads and manages intra-agency teams to produce and deliver on fund development plans
  • Provides formal and informal training on best practices to agency stakeholders including program and S&I leadership/staff.
  • Informs strategy development for private, institutional giving through grants.
  • Supports Senior Director, Director of Grants and Strategy & Innovation Leadership Team in achieving major 2021 strategies, particularly in reaching annual campaign goal.
  • Supports cross-division/S&I representatives to develop strong case for support for general operations.
  • Supports development of strong case for support for major initiatives related to education, financial well-being, connection and well-being.
  • Advises/supports Grant Specialist to reach prospecting and grant submission goals.
  • Develops robust working relationships with the Marketing, Major Gifts and Center for Excellence staff to ensure achievement of mutual goals/objectives.
  • Supports S&I leadership to facilitate process for engaging agency leadership in cultivation and stewardship of funder relationships.
  • Establishes and maintains ongoing and current knowledge of BakerRipley’s impact areas, goals, strategies and measures.
  • Informs policy, procedure and training protocols for agency regarding grant development.
  • Communicates process and strategy to agency stakeholders through training, relationship building, and continuous dialogue and accountability.
  • Works closely with Major Gifts to produce strong stewardship plans for major donors.
  • Assists with review/editing of agency grant submissions.
